Tasty Paper?

In my last two posts, I have told you how to update the basics.  I’ve got one more for you…business cards.  They are normally filled and never looked at again.  I have a way to make people want many of your cards!
I could easily guess that every business card you have received was made of paper.  Here is the twist: these are chocolate!  Chocolate business cards are a great way to grab attention, but don’t worry…they have areas for basic paper cards to be inserted in the box.  The chocolate itself can be molded with a message like ‘welcome’, ‘thank you’, or a tasty copy of the card itself!  These promotions, like the others I have discussed, will bring a second look onto your business.

Classing It Up

Remembering my last post, I said that classic promotions such as keyrings, pens, and business cards could be made more interesting.  In this post, I’ll show you a few pen and pencil options that work great as promotions!
Sometimes, all it takes to make a classic promotion work well is a combination of quality and color.  The basic widebody pen is a new take on an old, classic shape.  There are 6 different barrel colors, and 23 basic imprint colors, with PMS matches available.  The pens all include frosted clips and frosted rubber grips.  They can write in a solid line for up to 1.2 miles!  Since the barrels are wider, the imprint area is much larger.  There is room for a logo and a message on these pens!
Remember to check back…I will show you how to jazz up some more classic promotions!

Oldies-But-Goodies In The Promotion World

A promotion is something to help a business be noticed, right?  They do not have to be traditional.  They do not have to be very elaborate.  They do not have to be formal.  A promotion is made to fit the business.  There are literally hundreds of thousands of different promotions available to the modern business.  Just a few, such as keyrings, pens, and business cards are considered ‘classics’.  These aforementioned promotions are often boring and simple.  There is a way to jazz them up!
A keyring is a very loose definition of a promotion.  There are varied materials, colors, styles, sizes, and price ranges for a key ring.  One mode of interest-building with a keyring is the stretchy band keyring.  They are the same material as the popular wrist bands.  There are 11 standard colors available, and an option for custom colors.
Remember to check back…I will show you how to jazz up the classic promotions!

Whizzer? Sounds Funny, huh?

I have a friend who is a Whizzer dealer. We are beginning to assist them in their promotions, which means us learning about the product, customers, uses, etc.

I had never heard of a Whizzer motorbike in my entire life (we won’t discuss how long that is :) but let’s just say I remember saying that things like this were “neat”). Now that I have had the opportunity to hear about these machines, I can say it… “The Whizzer is neat!”

I’m sure I’ll have more about the Whizzer later.

To Everything There Is A Season…

…And A Time To Every Purpose Under The Heaven

Okay, that does not only mean for birth, death, sowing, planting…it counts for promotions too!!

Think about it…people do not get mugs in summer or beach towels in winter. So why should you have the same promotions all year ’round? That’s my point…you shouldn’t!

The season coming up for promotions is the winter ordering season. What do people use when it gets cold(er)? Jackets, blankets, mugs, and thermoses are used during the cooler seasons. Thus, wouldn’t they work well as promotions? They would be seen every day, as promos should be.

Remember, the season for winter ordering is here!

“Taste”-ful Promotions?

Sure, people may act interested when being given a mouse pad or a keyring…but food is the universal item that EVERYONE likes.  A food promotion would not have to be a fancy cookie with a sugar-printed logo on it…chocolate coins with a logo on the foil still makes a great promotions tool.  Even better…imagine a customer’s surprise when opening a business card box only to find a chocolate one instead of paper!  The wrapping is not the only thing customizable anymore!

Think about these “taste”-ful ideas and remember…food is always in season!

Why Promos, Anyway?

…And What IS A Promo?

If you don’t know the answer to one (or both) of the questions above, you may want to keep reading this post!  I’ll cover as much as can be taught in this post, and the ones following it.

First off, what is a PROMO?  Well…promo is short for promotion.  However, a promo is a bit different than a sales promotion.  You see, a promo is an item meant to HELP a promotion.  These items can range from keyrings to shirts to mousepads to mugs…to anything that can be imprinted!  And that leads me to ‘why use promos?’…they work wonders for business promotions!  A promo is normally a small item that can be given out at a trade show or some other venue.  These small items are imprinted with a company logo/slogan/message.  Thus, as long as the promo sticks around, the advertisement message stays with it!

There is much more to be said for promos…keep checking back…I’ll cover more in a later post!

First Impressions Are Key!

Whether it be personal or business, first impressions count. The question is, how can you make the first impression of your business better? Primarily, you have to think about what ‘message’ you want to be conveyed about your business. In my example, I will use ‘quality’ and ‘reputable’. Everyone wants that, right?

NO MESS!

NO MESS!

Lets say that ABC Company wants to advertise at a trade show. You see, ABC Company is new to the industry and they need to sell their products. Across the row, XYZ Company is in the same ‘boat’; a new company with little sales. Now lets take a look at the promos they are giving away…keyrings, mouse pads, pens, mugs…looks about the same to me. But look now at the booths. ABC’s booth is messy, with a few plastic letters duct-taped on the wall behind it. The products ABC is giving away are cheap, not-worth-the-ink-on-’em, promos. The reps themselves are a rag-tag bunch of people that look like they want to go home. Now, XYZ Company’s booth is neat and clean with nice metal letters on the wall. The promos are nice, gonna-keep-’em pieces. The reps are all in nice, company-logo-embroidered polos with smiles on their faces.

Think about the two companies…which would you choose? Most people’s impressions of ABC would be that they are NOT someone they want to deal with. XYZ would seem to be more like a reputable company that would be worth the time dealing with them, and trusting them with your business.  All of this can be figured in a few seconds as a company is handing you promos.

This same example can apply for any business. Nice, looks-like-you-care sign letters on a clean building can make a wonderful impression. Cheery and knowledgeable sales reps also help with impressions. And not only in ‘real life’ but a neat, well organized and informational website can work wonders on a company image.

A potentian customer makes a decision in about two seconds as to what business they want to use. Making a good impression makes all the difference!

Key Rings May Be The Key

When you need to keep your business promotional message in the hands of your prospects or clients there may be a great deal of value in placing that message on a simple, daily use item… a daily use item like a high quality key ring. Not the cheezy, cheap, toss-in-the-first-trash-can key tags that often a business owner will order and give away on a whim. I mean the quality keep-this-cuz-it-is-nice type of key rings that hang around on the kitchen wall, and travel in the pockets & purses, and are handled daily!

When you’re considering the next attempt to unlock the secrets into your customer’s loyalty, or how to open the door into new customers for the future… you may want to consider key rings. They may just be the key you’re looking for to ring up more sales!

You can find key rings from the site linked here, if you are interested.
